The French mobile provider Bouygues Telecom recently launched a campaign – where the traditional way of communication and the new, interactive way of social media mesh in an appealing way:
To promote the launch of their facebook platform, they wanted to create something for the community that would go beyond using a profile picture in a funny way, or pranking friends with a small joke.
With the up-coming holiday- and Xmas-season in mind, they created an app enabling their customers to turn their favorite moments they share online, into something long-lasting - into a book.
Facebook ads engage people to participate in the creation of their books and receive a printed copy of their statuses and photos. One can chose up to 10 friends to add into your book, as well as the desired timeframe, whether it be your birthday, wedding, or from the very beginning of your profile.
